Executive Director Russ Adler formed Adler & Associates International in 1996 after recognizing a need for professional services for Government, Corporate and Private entities and personnel along with practical and realistic training.  AAI's services are designed to be conducted in a timely manner with maximum effect relating to productivity and high operator retention factors that ultimately decrease individual and vicarious liability and increase each member's confidence and overall survivability!  In so doing, Russ developed the Fighting And Survival Tactics™ training series by hiring, consulting and training with some of the finest professionals in the industry from the most elite military and law enforcement special operations units and organizations that has enabled AAI to secure government and private contracts with military, law enforcement, and corporate entities and personnel from across the nation.

Russ has been a Law Enforcement tactical trainer in Firearms, Defensive Tactics, First Responder, C.E.R.T, Hostage Negotiations and other topics since 1991.  He is also certified in ICS, NIMS and many other Emergency Management and Homeland Security topics.  He brings several years of operational experience not only in Corrections, but on the street in Law Enforcement as well before going into the private sector security and investigative arena in 1996.  Russ is skilled in disaster response having worked the Osceola Fire Disaster in 1998, as a Team Leader of a 12 man Protective Service Detail in 2005 in response to Hurricane Katrina and responded to the Bugaboo Fire in 2007.  He currently remains affiliated with several Criminal Justice Academies as an adjunct / contract instructor.  Russ has also worked as the Florida Chapter Director of the International Association for Counterterrorism & Security Professionals (www.iacsp.com) since the year 2000 as an Anti-Counterterrorism consultant and operates as a protection specialist for State Senators, Judges and other high priority individuals.  He has worked as a licensed private investigator specializing in surveillance and under-cover operations and as a limited surety agent (bail bondsman) specializing in fugitive recovery.  Russ has appeared on Network news broadcasts and consulted for newspapers across the country regarding the 9-11 attacks and other related topics and continues to network with other Dedicated Professionals while studying the trends and forecasts of international crime and terrorism to keep our training programs at the pinnacle of the industry.

In 2006, Russ developed the High Intensity-Fitness Initiative Training™ program as an extension of the Fighting And Survival Tactics™ system.  The foundation of this program is built from Russ' background as a collegiate level athlete with study in kinesiology, and personal fitness along with over 19 years of experience in participating with and training law enforcement and military special operations units.
