About Us

We are a group of dedicated professionals with decades of experience conducting protective and investigative services along with tactical training for law enforcement agencies, military units, private security professionals and individuals. Our associates come from Tier 1, 2 and 3 backgrounds from all branches of military service and law enforcement tactical units with thousands of hours of training and operational experience.

Executive Director Russ Adler formed AAI in 1996 after recognizing a need for professional services for Government, Corporate and Private entities and personnel along with practical and realistic training. After the 9/11/01 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon Russ branded his full spectrum system of personal protection and tactical training as the Fighting And Survival Tactics™ series to meet the needs of our military clientele for pre-deployment training in support of the Global War On Terror. He hired, consulted with and trained with some of the most experienced and dedicated professionals in the industry from the most elite military special operations units and law enforcement tactical teams that has enabled AAI to remain at the pinnacle of the industry.

Russ has led our team in conducting a wide range of training and protective service operations throughout the United States and abroad with deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. He brings several years of operational experience in disaster response, law enforcement tactical operations and personal protective assignments across a variety of theaters of operation.

While remaining affiliated with several Criminal Justice Academies in various capacities from adjunct to contract instructors our associates continue to hone their skills by attending industry related seminars, trade shows and other events.

Russ has also worked as the Florida Chapter Director of the International Association for Counterterrorism & Security Professionals (www.iacsp.com) since the year 2000 as an Anti-Counterterrorism consultant and has appeared on Network news broadcasts and consulted for newspapers across the country regarding the 9-11 attacks and other related topics.
